WHAT IS MEDICAL MARIJUANA?

Medical marijuana comes from the marijuana plant. The primary psychoactive component in marijuana is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The marijuana plant has variety of medical uses.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Medical marijuana is a safe alternative for patients who have not benefited from mainstream medicinal treatments. Medical marijuana can be used to treat a variety of conditions and ailments.

HOW MEDICAL MARIJUANA HELPS YOU

Medical marijuana induces a state of relaxation, increased appetite, and reduced blood pressure. Marijuana has three main groups or strains: indica, sativa, and hybrid. Indica is physically relaxing, and sativa is mentally stimulating.

THC VS CBD

The two main cannabinoids (chemical compounds) in marijuana are THC and CBD.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the psychoactive chemical compound in marijuana that induces a cerebral euphoria. THC enhances creativity and alertness. THC is found in indica, sativa, and hybrid strains.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the extract from the marijuana plant with little or no psychoactive properties, but can be used to provide relief for inflammation, pain, and numerous other conditions.

THC/CBD RATIOS

Medical marijuana products are available with different THC/CBD ratios to treat different conditions. Products may vary in ratio. Please ask our pharmacists if you have any questions!
